Welcome to IntellectoKids Online Lessons a web application and service offering a variety of online lessons for kids aged 5 to 7 (the “Service”).

IntellectoKids Ltd, a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 11796917 (“we”, “us” and “our”), the operator of this Service, is committed to protecting the privacy of our users to the maximum extent possible under the applicable law.

We have created this privacy policy in order to provide you with transparency into our privacy practices and principles. Under this policy, we will explain how we:

  • collect personal information about you when you use our Service;
  • use and share that information; and
  • protect your information along with your rights.

“personal information” is information, or a combination of pieces of information, that could reasonably allow a person to be identified. This definition is further defined by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).


We collect your personal information from our direct interactions with you, including using automated processes.

Information we collect directly from you

You may provide us with personal information through the Service or by corresponding with us via online chat, phone, email or any other mean provided within the Service. This includes personal information you provide when you:

  • Create an account. You should note that we use “Glide”, an external application to set up your account (see their privacy policy at https://www.glideapps.com/legal/privacy ).
  • Book an online lesson. You should note that we use “Calendly”, an external application, for booking and scheduling online lessons. You may view their privacy policy in the following link: https://www.glideapps.com/legal/privacy.
  • Request our newsletter to be sent to you. We use a service provider called “Mailchimp” to deliver the newsletter, so your email address will be stored on their servers located in the United States. Mailchimp is a GDPR-compliant marketing automation service. Please visit their website to find more info about their Privacy Policy. You may always cancel your newsletter subscription at any time by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button in such newsletter, or request a permanent deletion of your email from the newsletter mailing list by sending us a request at privacy@intellectokids.com
  • Request marketing to be sent to you.
  • Enter a competition, promotion or survey.
  • Request technical support by messaging us via our page on Facebook, or by email. We do not store the information you provide us for technical support, however this information may be stored by our email provider (we use Google Suite).
  • Provide feedback.

The categories of information that we collect directly from you are:

  • Identity Data - including your first name and last name.
  • Contact Data - including your email address any other contact information you decided to provide us.
  • Financial Data – if you purchase lessons or a subscription, we may collect your payment card details (including the expiration date and CVV) in order to process payments. You should note that these payments are managed by an external payment provider “Stripe”, and you may view their privacy policy in the following link https://stripe.com/privacy.
  • Transaction Data - details about payments to and from you, and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
  • Preference Data - including your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
  • Marketing and Communications Data - including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties service providers, as well as your communication preferences.
  • We may also need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

Information we collect using automated technologies

As you interact with our Service, we may automatically collect the following information:

  • Technical Data - includes your location, device model, operating system and its version, language set on your device, IP address, device’s advertising identifier (but not the UDID) and other technology on the devices you use to access our Service.
  • Usage Data - including information about how you use the Service, such as information about app opens, as well as app and web page histories.

We may collect this personal information by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies. We may also receive technical data about you if you visit other websites deploying our cookies as further described in our cookie statement below.


We use your personal information:

  • to setup your account on the Service and save your settings.
  • to analyse how our services are used, in order to help us improve our offering and fit it to our customers’ needs.
  • for quality assurance purposes, we record all lessons. The lessons will be made via Zoom (you may view Zoom’s privacy statement in the following link: https://zoom.us/privacy) The recordings will be stored on our Zoom account and analysed by our team.
  • to develop new web or mobile applications, services and tools.
  • to deliver content localized for your language.
  • to understand what kind of content is more relevant in particular areas.
  • to promptly identify and solve the technical problems our Service and users encounter.
  • to notify you about new content, games and special offers via push notifications and direct online marketing campaigns.
  • to estimate the size of our target group and their user pattern.
  • for advertising and marketing purposes, including interest-based advertising, in line with your preferences. We also use measurement tools to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
  • to personalise the marketing messages we send you to make them more relevant and interesting.
  • to deal with your enquiries and requests and to provide customer support.
  • to ensure the stability and security of the Service.
  • to personalise our services.
  • for fraud prevention. We use automated technology to analyse interactions between us and our users, in order to ensure that our users are using our services legitimately. We may suspend accounts that we believe to be fraudulent.
  • to protect our rights or the rights of others.
  • to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject to.

Legal Basis

We must have a legal basis to process your personal information. In most cases the legal basis will be one of the following:

  • to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, for example to provide the services that you apply for, to establish and maintain your account, and to communicate with you about your payments.
  • to comply with our legal obligations, regulatory and audit obligations. In particular, Intellectokids is subject to laws and regulations in the countries we operate which require us to collect and retain certain information about the use of our services.
  • to meet our legitimate interests and those of third parties, for example to understand how you use our Service and to enable us to derive knowledge from that enable us to develop new services. When we process personal information to meet our legitimate interests, we put in place robust safeguards to ensure that your privacy is protected and to ensure that our legitimate interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • We may obtain your consent to collect and use certain types of personal information when we are required to do so by law (for example, in relation to our direct marketing activities, or when we process sensitive personal information). We may be required by law to collect certain personal information about you, or as a consequence of any contractual relationship we have with you. Failure to provide this information may prevent or delay the fulfilment of these obligations but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.


Only an adult with a verified email address is permitted to use the Service and create an account.

A child may use the Service only with the explicit consent and oversight of a parent. By scheduling an online lesson, it is deemed that the parent has provided the child with explicit consent to participate in the said lesson.

What direct information concerning the child do we collect from the parent?

We record all online lessons that have been purchased by you. You shall also note that the recording is necessary to fulfil our obligations towards the parent who booked the child’s online lesson.

We do not control the actions of the child and the instructor, but we instruct all of our instructions to refrain from requesting any personal information from the child (other than their first name and age) during the session.

You should note that we use SeeSaw, an external application that allows us to create, store and share with parents their child’s portfolio. You may review SeeSaw’s privacy policy at the following link: https://web.seesaw.me/privacy.

What usage information about the child do we collect?

Any usage information that we receive through the user account is automatically associated to the parent’s information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without consent from a parent or guardian, please contact us immediately so that we may delete the information as soon as possible.

How do we use the above information?

We use this information:

  • to deliver a high-quality and customized learning experience.
  • to improve our educational strategies.
  • to understand what kind of content is more relevant for the child in particular areas.
  • to enhance our services.
  • to ensure the stability and security of the Service.
  • to protect against unlawful behaviour.
  • to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject to.

Deletion of a child’s information

You may delete the child’s information from our systems by contacting us at support@intellectokids.com.


Without your consent, we will not rent, sell or share the personal information we have collected from you with third-parties outside IntellectoKids (or the group of companies of which IntellectoKids is or may become a part of), except as described below:

  • When we believe, in good faith, that we are lawfully authorized or required to do so or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or legal processes, or respond to lawful requests or legal authorities, including responding to lawful subpoenas, warrants or court orders.
  • To protect the rights and property of IntellectoKids, our agents, customers, and others (including enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use), or to investigate fraud, intellectual property infringement, and any other conduct that might be illegal or expose IntellectoKids or a user of its services to legal liability.
  • In case the disclosure is required for a third-party to assist us with the operation and/or enhancement of the Service. As of the date of this privacy policy, we work with the following service providers:
    • Glide (the web app engine)
    • Zoom (videotelephony and online chat)
    • GoogleDocs (storing the online lessons)
    • Stripe (online payment processor)
    • Calendly (meetings scheduling service)
    • SeeSaw (learning platform)
    • Google Analytics (analytics tool)

  • In case the personal information is aggregated or de-identified for the purpose of analytics, analysis, trends and the like, and you will not be individually identifiable from these aggregated and/or anonymised information and statistics.
  • In connection with, or during negotiations of, a change or proposed change in the ownership of IntellectoKids, i.e. when we do a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any sale, merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding, or in any other situation where personal information may be disclosed or transferred as one of our business assets. The buyer or transferee will have to honor the commitments we have made in this policy.
  • In case of an emergency, which includes protecting the safety of our employees and agents, our customers, or any person.

Because we operate as part of a global business, the recipients referred to above may be located outside the jurisdiction in which you are located (or in which we provide the services). See the section on "International Data Transfer" below for more information.


We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. We continuously take steps to further improve the way we store and process personal information.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Service. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.

It remains your own responsibility to: (i) ensure no one else uses our Service while you are "signed in" to your account; (ii) sign out from your account when not using it; and (iii) keep his password or other access information secret.

How Do We Store Your Information and What Steps Do We Take To Protect It?

The information we collect through our services is stored and processed on the servers located in the EU, hosted by Google Cloud. The servers of our Service Providers are located in the EU and in the United States.

We will keep your personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you. Once our relationship with you has come to an end, we will retain your personal information for a period of time that enables us to:

  • Maintain business records for analysis and/or audit purposes.
  • Comply with record retention requirements under the law.
  • Defend or bring any existing or potential legal claims.
  • Deal with any complaints regarding our services.

We will delete your personal information when it is no longer required for these purposes. If there is any information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further processing or use of the data.


Some of our service providers are located in different jurisdictions. Please therefore note that your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside the European Union or United Kingdom that do not have similar data protection laws to the European Union or United Kingdom.

IntellectoKids is not, nor shall be in the future, responsible for the privacy rules and regulations of any third-party application, website and/or service, regardless if such third-party app, website and/or service was linked from or through our services. The foregoing sentence shall extend also to any person employed or otherwise engaged under the payroll by such third-party.


You may delete your user account at any time sending us a request in the following e-mail support@intellectokids.com.

You can also ask us to stop sending you marketing communications at any time by logging into the Service and checking or unchecking relevant boxes to adjust your marketing preferences, or by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you.

You have certain rights regarding your personal information, subject to local law. These include the following rights to:

  • Erase your personal information.
  • Restrict our use of your personal information.
  • Object to our use of your personal information.
